A Brief Update!

Hey Everyone!

First of all, the sincerest of apologize for not posting as readily as I wanted to.  Life has funny way of changing very quickly.  First, my wife and I were in the process of buying a house.  Then the closing date for the house was pushed back from mid-September, to the end of September, to sometime in October.  During that time, I received a job offer from High Resolutions, Inc., in Knoxville, TN.  This wasn't an easy decision (having to walk away from a new house, being close to family and loved ones, and leaving our beloved state of Florida.  However, we believed this is what God had for us.  Miraculously, God opened the doors with my previous job, family, and finances for us to make the move.  The transition has been stressful (one piece of quick advice, don't ever, EVER buy a car while under stress [but that's for another time]), but we're adjusting to the changes.  I'm definitely learning some things along the way that I think would benefit those contemplating a big change.

Take Time
Whether it's moving, a job change, or a major investment, give yourself time to adjust.  Don't try to jump into a situation without first weighing out the pros and cons of the situation.

Seek Counsel
When it comes to any sort of change this big, seek guidance from God and from the people you trust, even the ones you are moving away from (or to for that matter).  True friends will want what's best for you, even if it means being farther apart physically.

Move Forward
When you decide to make a change, move forward.  Don't get overwhelmed or bogged down with unanswered questions / challanges that come your way.  Keep moving forward.  If you have invested the time and counsel to make a decision.  Stick with it.  You'll survive the transition as you begin a new chapter in a new life.

Be Grateful
Be thankful for the little things.  Trust me, you need it!

Looking forward to getting back to the swing of things with the blog and I hope you enjoy it too.  Do you have any advice on moves, changes in career, or life decisions?  Please, share your thoughts.  I'd love to hear about it.
